Ski Saas-Fee

The sunny Saas Valley - the Pearl of the Alps - is situated in the midst of the highest Swiss mountains. Eighteen four-thousand-metre peaks wrap themselves around Saas-Fee and its neighbours Saas-Grund, Saas-Almagell and Saas-Balen like a shell. The glacier village Saas-Fee lies at the top of the Saas-Valley at 1800m, is a traffic-free resort and easily accessible by car or public transport. It has managed to hold on to its rustic character despite its state-of-art ski infrastructure.

The winter sport area is a highly sought-after destination of a very athletic, international clientele. With ski regions rising up to 3600m, snow is guaranteed in Saas-Fee and the Saas Valley. Amongst 145 km of groomed trails, skiers and snowboarders, whether beginners, average or experienced, will find plenty to suit their abilities. Most of the pistes that are not on the glacier are kept in condition by nearly 100 snow cannons. This guarantees valley runs in Saas-Fee until the end of season (end of April). Snowboarders and Freeskiers find their little paradises in different freestyle parks where they dare to jump in perfectly shaped halfpipes or relax in the chillzone on comfortable couches. The region also holds plenty of winter activities for those who prefer to enjoy themselves away from the ski slopes: Winter hiking on 60 km daily new trailed paths, snow shoe walking, cross-country skiing on 32 km of trails framed by the impressive peaks, sledging or snow-tubing, torch light walks and guided mountain-tours. After indulging in all those activities during the day, visitors also benefit from a wide variety of shops and entertainment at night. Whether they want to join the crowd in one of many après-ski bars or enjoy a gentle stroll, whether they want to join in a game of curling or a night-time sledding run, there is every kind of entertainment in the Saas Valley!
