Ski Davos

Davos and Klosters merge into one spectacular destination: a unique holiday region extending over an area of 477 km² almost equal to that of Canton Obwalden (491 km²). The new holiday region offers over 33 800 guest beds, with around 7200 in more than 100 hotels in all categories.

Stylish Davos ski resort
Europe's highest-altitude town offers guests all the attractions of a small town nestling in a unique mountain world: an urban ambiance is provided by top shopping, bars, casino, cinema and over 100 restaurants, pubs and mountain huts, as well as theaters, mueseums and exhibitions. Yet just a few minutes drive from the town centre, visitors enter a wonderful, untouched mountain world. The Davos side valleys of Flüela, Dischma and Sertig are extremely popular natural oases. With around 13 000 permanent residents, Davos offers a total of 24 000 guest beds, with 5200 in over 50 hotels and guest houses, 2200 in 22 group accommodation facilities, 16 100 in 4600 holiday apartments or private rooms and around 500 in clinics.

Klosters for family ski holidays
Klosters is indeed the smaller partner but small is relative here. With 4000 permanent residents and some 8850 guest beds, Klosters is Graubünden's sixth-largest holiday resort: It has 1900 beds in over 30 hotels and guest houses, 350 ski and mountain guest houses and 6600 in holiday apartments and private rooms. Gourmets are extremely well catered for in Klosters: The resort can boast more Gault Millau points per resident than anywhere else in Switzerland. Six restaurants have been recommended with a high number of points from perhaps the most famous gourmet guide. On the other hand, Klosters is an especially family-friendly resort and has been awarded the "Families Welcome" quality label.

Ski Davos - Klosters joint winter-sport region
In November 2003 the mountain rail and cableways merged into Davos Klosters Mountains, incorporating five winter-sport regions with 305 kilometers of prepared pistes. Schatzalp adds to the winter-sport attractions with two of seven sledge runs in the region. There are also 140 km of prepared winter-walking trails and 140 km of cross-country ski runs. The offers are rounded off by first-class facilities for many other types of winter sport.
