| In order to accommodate our guests by the thousands from all over the world, the Belalpbahnen have invested in a state-of-the-art transport system. Comfort, security and reliability are imperative for us in offering our guests a well-deserved and unforgettable time. We are proud to say, that as of 2006, you will glide towards the clear Belalp air (above 8000 ft.) on the longest chair lift of Switzerland. Whereas on warm summer and autumn days the Belalp is the domain of hikers and climbers, once the slopes are covered in snow, winter sport aficionados reign supreme over the vast winter wonderland of the Belalp. Our tip: Take the chair lift to the station "Schönbiel" and onwards to "Hohstock". With the Matterhorn, Dom, Weisshorn and 17 other alpine giants, the panorama from your starting point at 10,209 ft. is nothing short of spectacular. When you get to the Belalp you will certainly be spoilt for choice – which restaurant with its sun terrace will you pick?
