For three weeks in July the Black Forest city metropolis of Freiburg transforms into a mecca for international music and festival lovers. The unique event takes place on 40,000 square meters, surrounded by the hilly landscape of an animal and nature preserve. The exceptional atmosphere and beautiful scenery create an ambience that is unforgettable.
With over 100 performances and events in 18 days, the ZMF festival is a marathon of music, art and culture day and night. The diverse program bridges the generation gap as international artists perform all types and tastes of music. From classical to pop, oriental to okzident, traditional to modern, everyone can find what they are looking for.
The ZMF is more than just a place to hear music. It is a place filled with personal experiences and celebrations. Magicians and clowns bring the festival to life, while beer gardens and culinary specialties fill appetites and delight taste buds. The grounds are stage, a world stage, for your enjoyment.
