Large procession on the Monday of the Fasnacht carnival

The highlight of the Alemannic Fasnacht carnival is a gathering of all the Fasnacht organisations from the whole of the vicinity for the large Rosenmontag (Shrove Monday) procession in Freiburg. Floats and colourful costumes can be seen on the streets. People hidden under wild, almost sinister masks play jokes on others until late at night.
