Lufthansa and easyJet offer 24 weekly connections from EuroAirport to Düsseldorf
The European Capital of Culture RUHR.2010 programme started on 9 January 2010. Under the motto "Change through culture, culture through change", the new Ruhr metropolitan area is showcasing itself in 2010 as the European Capital of Culture. Thanks to the offer of 24 weekly flights with Lufthansa and easyJet from EuroAirport, RUHR.2010 is now close to the three-country region.
RUHR.2010 – www.ruhr2010.de – is a cultural development project that aims to inspire the people of Europe to visit the new Ruhr metropolitan area. Due to flights offered by Lufthansa and since early November by easyJet as well, EuroAirport now has stronger links to Düsseldorf International Airport, the gateway to the Ruhr area. From Düsseldorf Airport, passengers can reach the "Zeche Zollverein" venue, a World Heritage Site and the symbol of the RUHR.2010 leitmotif.
Both Lufthansa and easyJet fly to Düsseldorf 12 times a week and thus offer an attractive choice of flights to business and private customers. In addition, Lufthansa offers via Düsseldorf International Ariport attractive connecting flights within Europe and fast connections to New York, Chicago and Miami.
